Good Morning Congin Cougar Families,

1. It's Wednesday so that means it is an early release day! Students will be dismissed from school at 2:20, so please make sure you know how your child is getting home, and please make sure you are at the bus stop on time.

2. Speaking of dismissal, please make sure that if you are changing your child's afternoon plan, reach out to your child's teacher and our administrative assistant, Stacy Symbol, before 1pm.

3. Our students are working on Respect for this month, and they are doing a fantastic job. Students are earning respectful pumpkin stickers on the bus and at school, and we have a goal of 400 by the end of the month. If we are able to reach our goal, students will be able to dress up as their favorite book character on 10/31!

4. Saturday was our PTO's Ace Hardware fundraiser. Thank you to all of those who came and donated to help support our school. Our PTO ended up raising over $800, so thank you for your kind and generous donations!

5. Friday, October 10th is a professional development day for staff. This means that there will be no school for students.

6. Monday, October 13th is Indigenous People's Day, so there will be no school.

7. On Wednesday, October 15th, there will be a community meal at Westbrook Middle School from 5-6pm. This is a free opportunity to get a meal and learn about our food service program in Westbrook. I have attached the flyer if you are interested in attending.

8. Friday, October 17th is our School Picture Day! Order forms were sent home with students, and you have the ability to purchase and order online or with the physical order form. Remember that if you are ordering via the physical order form, you must write a check or provide exact cash. Let us know if you have any questions on this!
